Baby Nancy | Nottingham baby photography

A little while ago I had the pleasure of photographing this little sweetie pie. The very good natured baby Nancy was just about to turn six months old and was full of smiles. Mum and dad were very laid back, and that made the recipe for a very successful lifestyle location shoot at their home in Nottingham. Thank you for being such great models and clients guys! Here are a few photos from the shoot.

Newborn Baby Photography in Nottingham | Ryan

It was snowing heavily outside and it was hard to believe that I was photographing a newborn baby with nothing on. Well, the heating was on full and I had a fan heater blasting heat in his general direction. I was sweating anyhow. This time I photographed Baby Ryan at 11 days old. Although very well behaved, he had no intention of going to sleep. Not in the 1st hour of the shoot. Not in the 2nd hour. Nor in the 3rd hour! Every newborn baby is indeed different. Newborn photography can be so rewarding when you can create photographs that look like works of art. Most of the time the parents will chose the images that show the baby’s face as much as possible. As a photographer I go for the ones that look more like abstract or fine art prints. Of course I shoot both types to provide the parents with a variety of choices. However, often the parents do fall in love with the artsy ones and they will end up being framed in a large 20×24″ frame on a wall in their home. I photograph newborn babies within the first 12 days of being born. They tend to sleep a lot more, have better skin, and be more flexible so we can get them into those cute little poses. Mason was no exception. Once he’d had his morning dose at the milk bar, he slept allowing me to get the shots I wanted, and was actually pretty hard to wake up in the afternoon!
