Have you considered a lifestyle shoot with your family? If you’re not sure what that even means, let me enlighten you. A lifestyle shoot is basically an un-posed photo session. The photographer follows the subjects around and captures them living life. The subjects may be put into a certain situation, but the interaction is the focus of the shot. I highly recommend a lifestyle shoot if you’ve never had one before. It’s a chance to catch your family being together and loving one another. Babies and children grow up so fast that you quickly forget what they were like a year or two ago. These shoots will capture those moments of their life perfectly for the whole family to treasure for years to come.
Recently I visited the home of Baby Elodie to photograph her and her family in a lifestyle type of shoot. She was feeling super chilled out as she was at her own home and in her own surroundings, as opposed to a strange studio with lights set up everywhere. I don’t like to hurry these shoots, I rather like to let families get on doing things that the baby enjoys and I’ll just be in the background capturing the moments for them.
